Not really a review, more of a moan.
Okay, Kim (still looking great) Basinger gets kidnapped by Jason "Stick to British accents) Statham cause her hubby videoed him and his mates killing someone. She is hauled up in an attic with a smashed phone which she manages to slightly put back together (2nd line of the exposition, I mean dialogue is "I'm a high school science teacher, right Billy off to school")...and call Chris Evans on his moby. Okay, after he realises she's not kidding around, he tries to help.
My moan is, when he walks into the phone company shop to get a new charger as his battery is going, he walks up to the front of the que and says "Sorry, I have an emergency, I need a charger!". "Go to the back of the que sir!" comes the reply. So he tries again at another desk. "lady I have a life and death emergency I need your help." The reply...? "Take a ticket and get in line sir..." ARRRRRHHHHHGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!! It would be at that point I punch the sales assistant in the face! No he's not pushing in to get his new phone first, there is NO room for mis-understanding... yet they still don't hear him!!!".
In contrast to this, in a similar situation, in Phone Booth, when Forest Whittaker first starts talking to Colin Feckin Farrell, he gets the jist of what he's trying to tell him quickly. Good stuff... they could have dragged that out... but no...don't let the audience get pissed off...or they'll end up giving your film a 2!
