So I just watched the film ;D I thought it was really good and a nice story. It reminded me of Amelie a bit with the rich colours .. bit less saturated though! Um, yeh it looked great, loads of great shots of the animals and all, I think the music worked well because if it had been silent it might not've worked so well...like how all the subplots were sort of drawn together into a nice resolution. Best two shots - the second-to-last one in the credits when Moss looks at the camera and the light is shining through her hair (ah...so THATS depth of focus ) and..the cool one of the seals in the underground bit where the circular tank looks all weird and rounded! Only criticisms - couple of unresolved ideas ie. the gardener and what happened with the pregnant girl?? also how EVERYONE in the zoo was staring at the balloon which represented freedom like it was a UFO lol. But I kno in the commentry Paul, u said you didnt like to spoonfeed us, so I guess i cant complain that not everything was solved. But yeh pretty damn good. Im gonna watch Krispie next ;D Emily

Well thanks for the great feedback! Yeah the gardner....hmmm . Unfortunately I was in the minority on that one. I wanted the gardener to be literally singing in his head. Out of tune to himself. So we have the sad, depressing face...but inside the guy is happy and signing his heart out! However, "others" thought that we could just bring the lyrics from the song in at that moment and that would do it. But hey, you live and learn and now when something bothers me, I stand my ground and fight for what you KNOW to be right. A lesson learned which I thank the film for. Everyone staring at the balloon was just to get every member of the workshop in the film. The TV edit hasn't got that... Keep the reviews coming! Nice one..
